Toto Kitchen Remodeling: The San Jose Owner’s Guide

If you’re searching for Toto kitchen remodeling in San Jose because a faucet, sink, or fixture has failed or the whole kitchen is past saving, here’s the straight answer: a full kitchen remodel in San Jose runs $16,520 – $53,100 depending on scope, and we install Toto-compatible fixtures and hardware as part of that work. We stock common Toto replacement parts on the truck, and we can source model-specific components directly. Most San Jose homeowners discover the problem the same way: a faucet that drips through a new cartridge, a sink that’s chipped at the flange, or a pull-down spray head that won’t retract anymore.

Bradford Remodeling Co San Jose is an independent remodeling contractor. We are not affiliated with Toto. But we’ve installed enough Toto fixtures across San Jose kitchens to know what holds up, what fails first, and what it costs to make it right.

Which Toto Models This Applies To

Toto’s kitchen line isn’t as sprawling as their bathroom catalog, but there are compatibility gotchas worth knowing before you buy a part. The Toto Nexus, Lawson, and Maris faucet lines each use different cartridge specifications. A cartridge that fits a Nexus will not seat correctly in a Lawson valve body, and forcing it is how you score the brass and turn a $40 part into a $300 body replacement. Check the model number printed on the escutcheon plate under the handle, or look for the tag on the supply line under the sink. Toto stamps model information on the underside of the faucet base where it meets the counter.

When we replace a Toto part in a San Jose home, we match the exact model number first. If you want a genuine Toto OEM part, we’ll source it. If the OEM part is backordered or discontinued, we’ll show you a quality aftermarket equivalent from our documented supplier list and let you decide before any work starts. We also work with KraftMaid and Cambria cabinetry and Silestone surfaces, so if the failed part is the excuse for a larger remodel, the same crew can handle it.

Signs Your Toto Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing

  • Persistent drip from the spout after shutoff. This usually means the ceramic disc cartridge inside the faucet body has worn or cracked. Toto cartridges are ceramic, and they’re durable but not immortal. San Jose’s hard municipal water accelerates mineral scoring.
  • Low flow from the spray head. The aerator or the internal check valve has clogged with sediment. If cleaning the aerator doesn’t fix it, the check valve inside the spray head has failed and the whole spray head needs replacement, not just the screen.
  • Handle stiffness or grinding. Mineral buildup inside the cartridge housing, or a worn O-ring that’s now dragging against the valve body. Left alone, it scores the housing and you’re replacing the whole faucet instead of a $20 seal kit.
  • Water pooling at the base of the faucet. This is the O-ring seal between the faucet deck and the countertop failing, or a crack forming in the base. Water at the base means water under the cabinet, and in San Jose’s dry summer months the damage can hide until the particle board swells and the counter sags.
  • Chipped or cracked sink surface. Toto kitchen sinks are porcelain over cast iron or stainless. Porcelain chips expose the iron substrate, which rusts in humidity. Stainless sinks can develop stress cracks around the drain flange from years of thermal cycling.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

New painted shaker cabinets with an organized deep drawer

Here’s the San Jose price reality. A Toto faucet replacement, including the new faucet, labor, and haul-away of the old unit, typically falls in the $470 – $1,100 range depending on the model and whether we’re replacing supply lines and the angle stops at the same time. A Toto kitchen sink replacement runs $945 – $3,540 installed, and the spread depends on whether we’re doing a drop-in swap or pulling the countertop to set an undermount. A full kitchen remodel with Toto fixtures, new cabinetry, and surfaces runs $16,520 – $53,100.

Service San Jose Installed Price Range
Toto faucet replacement $470 – $1,100
Toto sink replacement $945 – $3,540
Toto fixture set (faucet + sink + soap + air gap) $2,360 – $7,670
Full kitchen remodel with Toto fixtures $16,520 – $53,100

Every price we quote in San Jose is written before we start. No numbers move at the door. The written quote includes the part, the labor, the disposal, and the warranty term. That’s The Garrison Standard, and we don’t work any other way.

DIY or Call Us?

You can safely do a few things before calling us. Check under the sink for obvious leaks. Look at the model tag on the faucet base. Clean the aerator if the flow is weak. That’s about it. Replacing a Toto cartridge without the right puller tool is how brass valve bodies get scarred, and dropping a cast iron sink onto a granite countertop is a $2,000 mistake. If you’re not sure which cartridge your model takes, or the faucet is over 8 years old and the valve body shows mineral damage, call (669) 272-2637 and we’ll come out, identify it, and give you a written price on the spot.
